About editors...

I tend to have different favorites depending on genre. (and most of my favorites are action editors since the majority of videos that I like are action)

Action:
Kristyrat - Especially after Psychosomasis, he seems to edit exactly how I'd picture it needs to be done.
Niotex - I'm not ashamed, I LOVE his hmv's, they're so addictive!
Decoy - Even though generally I dislike effects-heavy videos, the way that he pulls his off always works for me.

Comedy:
dokidoki - Proof that even after being around the community for so many years, you can always come up with something new.
Fall_Chilid42 - Though they tend to be a little off-the-wall, his videos always appeal to my sense of humor

Romance:
Nessephanie - I tend to dislike romance videos, I find many of them lack depth, but hers never fail to live up to my expectations.

Drama:
Judgeholden - Another genre that I usually end up disliking due to the same reasons as above and overcomplication. His are simple and powerful.

Other:
Otohiko and Tsunami Jones - Something completely different every time, never stuck in one genre, always something original that makes me look forward to the next release.

AtomX - All his drama AMVs feel so unique to each other and yeah he gets my vote for favourite drama editor, inspiring and he uses good music which I don't hear ever.

Koop - Because there is only one of him and he is always challenging himself when making AMVs - thinking outside of the circle and trying new daring things =O

Nostromo - When it comes to motion and use of internal and external FX, I absolutely worship this guy, he knows how to work footage to his advantage *_*

Sierra Lorna - One of the few editors who I can watch AMVs of from start to finish without losing interest or finding a flaw, especially when it comes to flow, synchronisation and pacing.

ScorpionP - This person's AMVs are just too damn fun, I find myself looping the AMVs of this person a lot the past year. Can't wait to see more.

jaded_eyed_angel & SenshiMamoru - I like both of their editting styles for similar reasons which is hard to explain =D Plus they are two very awesome people.

Flame-X - He brings fast paced mecha action and Jrock to a-m-v.org, both which I don't see often anymore.

I think I'm missing a person or two from this list...

I love Sierra Lorna's videos probably the most. I also love a lot of Jazziadax's work, JubJub2, Malifus (especially his last video), and kikai siagono (spelling sucks today). I also like jade_eyed_angel & *inverse*. And stick Krisgo in there somewhere. ^_^

As for promising editors, my biggest would have to be The Original Head Hunter, who's shown a lot of promise with his videos.

Fav editors ... I don't really know ... but i really like Krats and requietts stuff.

As for new comers, there's a ton of good new talent on the site. One is physics. He needs help learning compression and stuff like that, but his first video blew me away. There's lots of internal synch i didn't even really notice till i had watched it a few times. Really subtle but still really good stuff. I'm interested to see where he's going to go.
