"Romantic rivel with no chance" anime?

I found this really good song about unrequited love I want to use but I seem to be pulling a blank on anime

What I really want is an anime where its obivous who the female character will end up with, but a romantic rivel for her love interest is introdused (That was worded badly; Rivel wants her) but we all know she's not going to look twice at him.
I know I've seen loads of them but the only one I can think of is "Winner" from "Karin".
If anybody knows an anime like this it would help me out a bunch!

Ranma 1/2: Ryoga vs. Ranma for Akane, or Mousse vs Ranma for Shampoo?

I haven't finished School Rumble so I'm not sure how it ends, but Harima vs Karasuma for Tenma at least in the early episodes.

Shakugan no Shana. Shana will obviously get with him, but Yoshida gets in the way.

Can you count Kagome and Inuyasha w/ Kikyo?
