To post or not to post?

I just finished an AMV that I really like. I may even enter it in an AMV contest. I would like to post it, but there is already an AMV posted on this site using the same anime and song. Their concept is a bit different- theirs generalizes on the main cast of characters while mine tells a specific story between only two of the characters. In other words, the videos look really nothing alike (theirs has a few glimpses of the storyline I used, but it doesn't seem to be the main focus). Still, is it bad form to post it here when there's already a (somewhat) similar AMV already up? The contest isn't until May, so I have time to think about it. I just wanted your opinions on the matter.

Thanks. I just didn't want to ruffle any feathers or anything. Unless I make a lot of much better videos (or they change the rules of the contest I want to enter it into), it won't be up until around early May, but I'll go ahead and fill out the form to enter the video now.

Right, and it is finished- It has credits and everything. The only reason I'm not uploading it today is because that's against the rules of the contest in which I want to enter it.

Um, yeah. Post. . .after the con or whenever. Yeah. *^_^* Who cares if it was done before or if it was better than the other one. Make what you want and post what you want as long as it follows site rules. Screw everyone else.
