I see why you call it "noob tube" .....thieves....

I see why you people get so pissed at people stealing your videos. I didn't even make an amazing video and I'm mad.

Their Video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEH7p7vOOrE

My Video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLRTbvhAFH4

All the same effects are there they just messed with the order!

So is it still considered my work since I made the video but they downloaded it and changed the clips order?

I suppose all the links ending up at the super search function is not an accident :)

I once made a damn awesome coffee table for my sister, out of some lumber she stole from some guys that had stolen it from somewhere else eh.

And you know, the wood was always stolen, regardless of who sole it last :)

So your AMV footage was "acquired" deal with it, it wasn't your footage to begin with.

well you're looking at it wrong. Yes. The footage all AMVers use is not theirs, but still the AMVs they edit have their time and ability put into it.

for them to steal it without crediting is bad, but still. Stop complaining about it people.

This isn't as bad as just ripping the whole thing off, at least the guy took the effort to change it around

He cut it in 3rds and mixed it around.

I refuse to call that effort.

Great amv creators are like superior fan subbers.

We owe them all a big thanks, but, in the end, it isn't their property :)

Now I have seen a great many amvs, that just make me wonder "what does the dude do for a day job? and should they think about a career in video?" because some of it is really inspired. I still can't get over how awesome Reflections is, or how addictive that Skittles tune is.

I of course agree, if you think the video is cool, you should at least be cool enough to make sure to give credit to the creator of the amv.

Because ripping off an amv creator is like selling fan subs, something only a jerk does.

i think the least amount of effort ive seen go into a "video theft" was someone who had uploaded it to their sn, didnt even bother changing or cutting off the credits and attempted to claim it as their own... and guess what? it happened here at the org...

youtube has just made it easier to upload and claim as your own is all.

"thieves" have always been around and they will continue to be around...

you have two options:

1. laugh it off and let it blow up your ego that you are just that kick ass that someone would rip you off..

2. get angry and have all your friends spam the hell out of their page and flag it

coming here to complain about that site won't help your case... in fact its happened so many times that you will more than likely just be mocked and your thread will be locked.
