Every person I have ever known, that gave me grief for liking anime, wouldn't even know the terms furry, yiff, hentai, boochsack, amv.
Thing is, most of the people I know that think there is something wrong with me for liking anime, likely barely know what anime is.
Thus, I come here thinking the furry vs amv thing is kinda funny.
You're definition of "hate" is likely not even close to the level of bias I am aware of hehe.
I like some amvs for the way the visuals are allowed to transcend what they originally were possible of. I have in some cases found myself ONLY liking a song, because thanks to an amv the song became special.
The tune for Refections would have remained unknown to me without an amv. I like the way the people that make amvs can combine tunes and visuals in such imaginative ways.
To put this in another light totally outside of the normal realm of thinking. This debate seems as "peculiar" as two persons arguing that airplane kits are cool and models boats suck. That would be illogical.
Now a person might be of the opinion that models are for kids, and then it doesn't matter what kind of models you like eh. So a person saying they like anime garage kits, is no odder than a person that likes common truck models.
Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.
