zarx264gui problem >.<

Post by Tri-kun » Sun Aug 19, 2007 10:24 pm

When i try to encode in zarx264gui a .mp4 file does not appear a .m4a and a .264 file appear but disappear at the end of encoding but no .mp4 file ever appears

when i use the .bat to encode the same thing occurs except the .m4a and .264 don't disappear but still no .mp4

i've tried to encode with different files and the same thing always happens

could it have something to do with my computer?

A Vista with 32 bit OS

does anyone have an idea why this is happening and maybe a solution i wants an .mp4

Zarxrax said this in late Feb. It didn't look like anything in the FAQ was more recient than this stance, but i could have missed something.

I guess I might add a page in the guide listing all the problems that exist with vista, and just let people run it at their own discretion.

I would like to solve the problem with Zarx264gui in 64-bit OS's though, if I can figure out what the problem is.

I'm prefering to stick to XP myself. You can check out MeGUI for x264 though - zero1 broke it all down for me a while back here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... sc&start=0

I just upgraded to windows vista myself a few days ago, so in a month or so I should be able to probably start looking into the problems. I have solved the issue with 64-bit, but zarx264gui doesn't actually output an mp4 file for some people on vista (me included).

"Security feature" perhaps? Like to stop certain methods of executables from creating files.

I *think* that the problem regarding outputting an mp4 file has something to do with either the length of the directories or the characters in the directories or filenames. I haven't taken time to thoroughly test this issue as of yet though.

Try putting the zarx264gui folder and your avisynth script all at somewhere like c:\ and try running it.
