I don't remember if she actually interviewed either of them, but I imagine that Bryce or Jeff made reference at some point to having competed against each other at an AlanCon in the past (which is, generally, held in a basement). I believe I actually said at one point during the event that they'd competed in an 'unofficial' Iron Editor contest before, but I don't think I would have said anything about it being in a basement.
By and large, other than DW having magically become Suberunker, I'd say that the piece was fairly balanced and accurate- assuming most if not all of your experience with AMVs was gathered at that one event. Some of it may not have been the most flattering, but at the same time ('cheap and easy to use software' of course being up for debate) there really weren't any factual errors other than the aforementioned confusing of DW/Sube.
Though I don't see them going back and changing the piece (other than perhaps correcting the incorrect name attribution, since that is fairly major), I would not hesitate to encourage anyone from writing in and expressing any concerns/thoughts on the piece- NPR tends to take feedback fairly well. I would however urge you to go about it in a mature manner- if the intent is to correct misconceptions the piece may have put forth about the editing community, an inflammatory/condescending tone, bad grammar/punctuation, net abbreviations, and similar unprofessional behavior is just as likely to reinforce any negative stereotypes as dispel them.
