You've been told the site rules already in this thread and they are written on the front page of the site too. Sig banners must not be more than 40 pixels tall.

It's only 296 x 80 though. I think that they should definetly change the rule to 600x40, or 300x80 Max size. I can understand why 40x600 would be annoying in a Sig, but 300x80 is not bad at all.

you're wasting your breath (or typing or whaveter) as this has already been debated in the Site Announcements forum when the rule was established.

Just because you think its ok doesnt make it so...

in any case website banners are only 60 pixels high so I really dont see why a sig banner needs to be even bigger than a website one.

What, are there some sort of official laws to Banner making? That REALLY destroys Uniqueness, Creativness, Originality, and Diversity of Banners and Sigs.

My Sig is a Web Page banner, by the way.

Just don't make it over 40 pixels high. That's it, that's all you have to do to make what you have acceptable.

Nobody likes having to scroll through huge sigs with a bunch of text and large images just to read peoples posts. At the moment the rules are inviolate and remain 600 width and 40 height.

Ok ok, enough about the Sigs. I get it now.

I just wanted to talk about the idea that it might be cool to have your Avatar serve as a Link as well. Of course you could still be Links and Pics in your Sig, but your Avatar could just be another Link for use. No?
