I agree. Renaming the AMV will make it clear that it is not from the offical AMV Hell family. I don't think its proper to leech off the popularity of another video by using the same name (especially when the content is very similar).

I love to wear absurd and totally impractical garments. What's more, I derive great pleasure from spending time with women for no apparent reason.

In case you hadn't heard or noticed, the name of this project has been changed to reflect that this is not in conjunction with the "official" AMV Hell series.
Therefore, ADD Theater 3.14 will be the title. This is just to clear any confusion.
Unfortunately, this also means another alteration to the opening titles and closing credits. Since new clips are being submitted now, it's going to have to be that way anyhow. I apologize profusely for any inconvenience this may cause.

1. It's ADD Theater.NerdStrudel wrote:ADD hell? Wtf. That's a stupid name, Seriously -_-. Why, because it's random and crap?.. Still, the name is just ahh. not so great. It doesn't flow well.
2. Aren't all AMV Hell-type projects random and sometimes crap?
3. Feel free to suggest a better name if you're not happy with this one. It is a collaboration, after all.
That is all, I guess.

Not sure what you're referring to exactly, or even why you found it necessary or meaningful to post that. But oh well, the train will roll on with or without your participation.ExSphere wrote:un-original
and yes you did kill it
ANYWAY,...
the wheels are in motion to get this project into Nekocon and TekkoshoCon...so far. I'm also making plans for Katsucon and AMA, perhaps more beyond that. Stay tuned for more and keep the submissions coming...

Go ahead and let them know this option is available. If one can't make it into Hell, they can always get a piece of the pi.Zarxrax wrote:Theres gunna be about a thousand leftover entries from amv hell 4, so maybe some of them might wanna come your way ;p

I realized some time ago that comedy is the toughest field to be in, given that so many people have differing preferences in terms of humor. While I haven't a clue what AMV Hell 4 has to offer yet, I think there are more than enough ideas / clips to populate 20 editions of Hell reels of varying comic relief.
The point I'm trying to make is I'm not trying to steal your thunder or ride anyone's coat tails. If you know of people who have ideas to throw together, why wait? I mean, the original intent was to give TekkoshoCon AMV producers a chance to show their skills without the pressure of competition. When that didn't work out (due to technical difficulties), I decided to tour the project around to whatever anime con I would attend.
I never claimed to have invented this brand of AMV, nor do I even claim proprietorial rights to the concept. I just wish people would get this and turn off of the idea that I'm trying to out-Hell you and your crew. Those who didn't make the final cut for AMV Hell 4 likely have material which would appeal to viewers whose sense of humor bend in different directions.
Gawd, I'm babbling now. Bottom line: all I wanna do is entertain people by bringing the works of AMV producers of whatever notoriety to light. What's so wrong with that?
I apologize, but I had to get that out. Civilized debate is fine, but childish jabs are wasteful, y'know?
