Dude, seriously..when Windows 2000 starts freezing up a lot on you, then you got a seriously messed up computer. I agree with getting the service packs, however I just reinstalled and dont have any of the service packs yet from over a year ago, and my computer is still running OK. It takes a lot for Windows 2000 to get messed up is all im saying.

[quote="Anime Jedi"]I keep forgetting, 2k and ME are different, right? quote]
That is the understatement of the year my friend. 2k and ME are VERY DIFFERENT. Ok, now your problems make more sense. Basically, ME, like 98, is DOS based, which to put it simply, means it sucks ass. Theres almost nothing you can do to prevent problems with those operating systems. Get 2K Pro or XP. Although XP does have some compatibility problems with certian periferals, it will run great on a basic computer. Also, some people have problems getting used to the different interface but its better than dealing with ME.

Thanks. I was confused with the names. I know there's a whole bunch of newer operating systems, but I got confused by 2000 and millenium edition. I would have thought that both meant the same. And I've never ran across 2k. I used ME, XP and all the old versions, but not 2k. Just thought it was another name for ME. Thanks anyways.TheRealNeoHentaiMaster wrote:That is the understatement of the year my friend. 2k and ME are VERY DIFFERENT. Ok, now your problems make more sense. I have an easy first period and second period lunch, so I do my homework then.Lyrs wrote:Well, it's all about hardware. My very old hardware doesn't work well with win2k. I bought new hardware, cheap ones, and it seem sto be working quite fine.
Thanks to all those who responds. I don't get on often anymore, too much homework.![]()
