Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Well its a first video for sure, not bad though.

The only real problem I found with it was that it felt like the effects used were just used for the sake of using them. They didn't really enhance or add to the AMV in any real way, they just kind of seemed in the way and were distracting.

all in all though, not a bad video, but if I could give you any constructive feedback it would be to only use those shape effects/cut out effects for when you want the focus to be on a particular part of the screen and not for timing, it all felt really random. I enjoy inter scene timing more than anything, where multiple actions/hits within the same scene match with song beats, without the use of any effects besides speed adjustment and small cuts.

grats on your first AMV! Keep at it, it all comes with practice and experience.
Still lurking after all these years.

meh..it was exactly what I thought it would be, started to watch and closed it after about 1 minute. It as exactly what all Hell song videos are. That song just has been used to death, if u watch one amv to it, you know them all. Next time try something new (best would be a concept that hasnt been used to dead).

With people like NerdStrudel, KevMaster and Cornwiggle running around, the idea of 'professionals' is a little skewed.

YOU KNOW ITS TRUE PEOPLE.
Indeeed :O

but yeah, for a first amv that was really good, next time, try to be a little less sloppy with the effects, use them only where the song calls for them. Maybe watch a few effectsy vids or betas from people to learn alittle more about em.

Methinks you have a lot of potential, so keep at it, and take the advice people give you.
