n00b question about rendering//encoding [VEGAS]
hey all,i was wondering if you guys could help me out abit with rendering/encoding...am i doing something wrong?
so ive created a project with vegas using the same settings as my "mpeg1" footage..
Custom (352x240, 50.000 fps)
but when i go to render as "AVI" i dont see any settings that match my footage/project,is it ok to render using something else? like AVI/NTSC/29fps? if not,how do i change the settings so they match my footage for rendering? im stuck here..
im asking this because i read that once the AVI is rendered, you need to "encode" it,but before that you need to make sure the AVI is correct or it will come out lookin pretty bad because the settings wont match..
also, how would i edit the settings in tmpgenc [for encoding] to match that 50.000fps footage im using? or any other compressing software thats good..someone please help me
btw yes i need this MV to be MPG1 so nice quality would be cool =)

there is only 3 options i get when triying to render as mpeg1 but none match the properties of my footage, and when i do render the quality looks real bad and you can see a bunch of blocks lol
do I need to render using the same properties of my footage? if yes, how?
All Footage Properties Im using -
Attributes - 352x240x32
Format - MPEG-1
Frame Rate - 50.000 [Double PAL]
Field Order - None [Progressive Scan]
Pixel Aspect Ratio - 0.9132 [NTSC Video CD]
Alpha Channel - None
MPG1 Rendering Settings I see.....
Default Template -
Audio: 224 Kbps, 44,100 Hz, Layer 2
Video: 29.970 fps, 352x240
VCD NTSC -
Audio: 224 Kbps, 44,100 Hz, Layer 2
Video: 29.97 fps, 352x240
Use this setting to create an NTSC VCD-compliant MPEG-1 file.
VCD PAL -
Audio: 224 Kbps, 44,100 Hz, Layer 2
Video: 25 fps, 352x288
Use this setting to create a PAL VCD-compliant MPEG-1 file.

No nonono export as .avi.
Now, to keep your 50 fps age and frame size, choose ANY preset there. Seriously, it really doesn't matter. Then, just hit the custom.... and go through all the settings, and just change them so they match your project, and then hit ok, and render. You can save your now edited preset to be like " 50 fps amv " or summat.
But ya, the answer to your question is just choose any of the presets, and then go through in the custom... window and make sure its exporting 50 fps and your frame size.
