Zarx264gui problem

Post by VEGETA_LSSJ » Wed Jul 11, 2007 9:42 am

I was compressing with Zarx264gui few times befoure this and everything worked perfectly fine...
Now I have problem, when I compres my video it dont have sound...and to be the worst it is not ony woundless but it starts to block on the half of my video! Could that be because my vides is too short - about few seconds...? i doubt so...
The problem disappears when it is set on constant quality and set quatizer abouve 30, everything lower than 30 have these problems.... And 30 is too low quality! I want 20...

what is happening please help!?

Is the sound always gone, or only when you change the quantizer?

Thank you for reply.

sound is there when I set quantizer to more than 30, on 25-27 sound is blocking, 23-25 sound dissapears and video starts blocking and then worst and worst to the black screen...

BUT! I found the way! I reinstalled whole AMVApp and it works! But of course I am I and troubles must go on... - Now that I have reinstalled it, It works perfectly BUT only for that small video(about 4 MB which I used just to try if it works, because it needs too much time for that large AMV that I actually want to encode). So the AMV that is the real target of my encoding is now making troubles, and I waited more than 4.5 hours to see just a black screen without sound, but the player is not showing that it plays! the seconds are not moveing, vieo is static...

What is wrong with this Zarx264gui?

No idea. Sounds more like a problem with your computer.

Sounds to me like the file could be fine, just your computer is not fast enough to play it back a t low quantizers (they use more bitrate which means more to decode).

You can press ctrl alt del and view the CPU graph then try playing it back. If you get like 100% CPU on playback, then that is the issue.

You could ask someone with a fast computer to try it for you, that may work.

Wait, a lot of your playback problems are what I've discovered when you try to play MP4s in Quicktime that it can't handle. Quicktime just got an update to it's H.264 codec. A lot of videos it wouldn't play the video at all, it now will actually see the video. However, it spikes to 100% CPU usage immediately, thus making it unplayable.

Well, my question then would be is what are you using to playback your MP4s?
Insert clever text/image here.

By the way, Ctrl+Shift+Esc brings up Task Manager instantly.
