A&G Ohio AMV Contest Rules
Read everything prior to entry!

• The creator is limited to 3 videos total and no more than 2 per category.
• Only videos created after 07/01/07 will be accepted
• Multi-editor videos are accepted.
• Entries may not contain any bumpers, title screens, credits etc. Any video with identification will be removed from the contest.
• The running time for videos may not exceed 6 minutes 30 seconds or be shorter then 1 minute 30 seconds with the exception of Film trailer amvs. Said amv’s will be limited to 3 minutes max, 30 seconds minimum.
• Videos must contain at least 50% animation or video game footage.
• All videos must be in the hands of the Contest Coordinator by January 30th 2008.
• Any late entries will not be accepted! No exceptions.
• By submitting your video(s) to this contest you authorize A&G Ohio to screen it under the A&G AMV Contest Title. All media (DVD-R DVD+R, ftp) submitted becomes the property of A&G Ohio and will not be returned.
• Entries may be disqualified for the following reasons: Objectionable content in the song or video, bad audio or video quality,
subtitled footage:
over 20 seconds
not pertaining to the amv
not created by the videos creator
revealing creator
, failure to adhere to submission rules, lack of entry form, or any reason A&G AMV contest decides so. If you are unsure if your video would be disqualified due to the above rule e-mail the contest coordinator and we can view the content of your video and make a decision.
• Exceptions to the rules (minus late entries) will be made on a video-by-video basis.
• With exception of ftp if availibe all entries must fit on ONE dvd

Entry Format:
• Entries will be accepted in the following formats:
o AVI
HUFFYUV (preferred)
DIVX
XVID
o MPEG
o MPEG-2 (preferred)
o In the case of an ftp server, RAW up to 6gb

All right, time for my obligatory clarification questions.

- What frame rates are acceptable?
- Resolutions?
- Audio sample rates?
- You said "no more than 2 per category", but what are the categories?

The contest entry formes contain the catagories, the entry formes are currently unavailable untill they are uploaded to the a&g website,
the usual, drama, action, comedy, film parody, romance
ok, Framerates 23 -29.7 are accepted
audio not sure, as long as it sonunds good, and scale, widescreen and fullscreen both accepted, just make sure it will look good once projected
