Searching for specific AMV

Post by Joe_JS_Smitty » Fri Jun 29, 2007 12:25 am

I apologize right now if requests are forbidden or looked down upon, I saw no rules stating otherwise but I'm known not to be a thorough searcher :P.

Many years ago, when I was heavily into Dragon Ball Z but my only means of AMV was through...a program I don't think I'm allowed to mention *cough* I came across this one AMV that I fell in love with.

I have long since fallen out of DBZ's grace for various reasons, however, the song from that AMV still rings loud in my head and I must find it.

The AMV, from what I remember, consisted of the following.

The only DBZ the creator used was from the Dragon Ball Z Movie 13. That and only that, nothing from any other DBZ continuation.

The song itself was a mixture of J-Rock/Pop with about half the lyrics in English. The music was a very heavy yet upbeat rhythm, from what I remember, the vocals who sang the Japanese lyrics were male, while the vocals who sang the english parts were female (there might have been a mixure of both, but each gender overpowered the other in one language).

The AMV itself was very well done, very actiony (if there is such a word) that almost seemed to tell the story itself in a span of...oh I'd say 5-6 minutes.

I thank anyone who would know of this particular AMV, as not only was it well done but the song itself has been one that has eluded me for years. I look forward to everyone's replies.

It's none of the 44 that only use that source listed through the super search?

*sigh* I was afraid of that. I guess it's a good thing I didn't get my hopes up :)

If anyone ever does find it I'll be in your debt.

so you didnt find it in the search? or did you... it doesnt seem you answered the question

have you tried googling the lyrics you remember? that would help to get at the least the name of the song...

and considering how many DBZ videos there are out there, narrowing it down to 44 is not that many

DId not find it, and I wish I could remember the lyrics. That was nearly ten years ago when I last saw it (might have been shorter than that, but I can't remember much only that I liked it).

And yes, I know how many DBZ AMV's there are :D, I was just wondering if someone knew it off the top of their head.

You also may want to know that not every DBZ video made it onto the org. That said, a lot of old videos are also resurfacing on teh utube, you may wanna check that out.

Also, have you used that...program to find it again?

It was at least seven years ago, I no longer have that program and I couldn't remember the keywords used to find it. I was afraid it wouldn't be on .org but I didn't find any harm in searching.

Hmm =P

Well have you tried finding the song? From what you described, you could probably ask this at an jpop related forum and probably find it. (7 years or older, male and female singers, heavy and upbeat, etc)
