Hi! Uhm, I have a problem with the filesize AND the kbps.

Stats:
8:00 minutes long, a little under 2000kbps, and a filesize of 187Mb.

I tried compressing, but the video suffers greatly...like 56k streaming video-type suffering. o_0 Help plz. I use Vegas, by the way. Any help would be of great...er...help. ^o^

are you compressing directly from Vegas? or are you compressing with another program...

also: how many effects did you add? did you use alot of grain?

and my recommendation: export lossless from vegas (as either uncompressed, huffy or lagarith) and then compress in virtualdub mod

...ah, well...the filesize is insanely via lagerith. I have virtualdubmod, btw. There are no effects, just fades and rapid scene changes. I don't know how to set up the xvid thing, any suggestions on the settings?

yes, it should be insanely big with lagarith or huffy (larger with huffy) but you take that lossless coppy and do this:

this is just follow the screencaps on how to set up vdub for xvid

oh yea and dont forget to compress your audio

sounds about right for an AMV that has not been Cleaned before Final Processing.

Video Cleaners ... not a subject really talked about with AMV's ... hmmm; wonder why !??

Yeah but mathematically it's impossible for an 8 minute AMV at 2mbps to be that large. Lemme whip out my calculator real quick... alright, it's still a lot, but it should only be 117.19 MB at most.
