Kamelot has some interludes that are mostly instrumental, but nothing else. Blind Guardian has some orchestral versions of songs you might want to check out. I'll wait for other people to specify, cuz I'm not sure which songs are available orchestral.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Theatre of Pain is the only fully orchestral one, if I'm not mistaken. Their older instrumentals (Specifically Beyond The Ice) really kick ass, though.Flint the Dwarf wrote:Kamelot has some interludes that are mostly instrumental, but nothing else. Intros? Instrumentals?
You can just recommend the entire power metal if not all metal genre for that, albeit there are those above average memorable ones but overall you can just pick at random and it'll be the same.
On a personal note I always enjoyed folk and viking intros more than power metal.

Oh how convenient. A theory about God that doesn't require looking through a telescope.

could have a look at Apocalyptica or Sonata Arctica, i dont have all their albums so there might be something in there.
Also In Flames has some Instrumentals like Jesters Dance (which i call dibs on!
), and Pallar anders vista which isnt half bad, and Acoustic Medley from the black ash enheritance is a very very cool song that you could use.
Powermetal wise, if you want some nice instrumentals look at Iced Earth and Demons & wizards. A question of heaven by iced earth has a nice instrumental part.
Kamelot is cool, been listening to Wandering all day.
Blind guardian has nice orchestral stuff but the vocalist normally pops in to lend a hand. A past and future secret mebbe? maiden and the minstrell?
could pm me and i will keep my ears open for good music.
