Seems like you had to rush this or you just sticked to your old editing style since there could've been way much more action and sync in the video because the song normally screams for it (even if I'm not into Power Metal anymore). To bad that you just synced half of the song but therefor the mood and the overall technical quality is (as always) very good. I really want to see a video in which you combine all your effort instead of just 50%.

i gotta get around to watching/buying this series... with the new cheap boxed set i almost cant resist

Probably 80% of the video was made before I did my Nightwish II segment. Most of it is done in almost exactly the same style as my Lodoss AMV. One of the (artistically) interesting results is that you can see the stylistic changes over the course of a single video here.

But you're dead on. I did give up a lot of cues that I could have synched to, but chose not to. Much of that can probably be ascribed to early and ill-fated ideas about some sort of internally coherent plot. Then again, with a song like this one, it would be easy to over-synch and wind up with something too fast-paced to be coherent.

Now, just to tease you, I'll share a tidbit: I'm toying with a concept involving Scryed and Judas Priest, and another one involving Witch Hunter Robin and Iron Maiden. One is action-heavy, and one is very much not. We'll see what comes of those.

Fair warning: the DVDs are about as barren for extras as it gets - a clean OP and a clean ED, and that's it. They also look none too good, but I've got a bone to pick there...

Anyway, I'm glad it's fun. If it's entertaining, then obviously I did a decent job.

Having also made a Zefiri.. *cough* Scrapped Princess AMV recently is just a coincidence. Really. Though, of course I ended up comparing this one with mine and also found it disturbing when same scenes popped out ^_^' Technically this one beats mine easily (I had a deadline to fight against.. and those DVDs.. *shudder*) but I think I got a stronger going conceptwise. It always makes possible plot harder to follow when using scenes mixed from here and there. I wish this one would have more emphasize on the "bloodbound"-concept :3

Good work filling the lack of Scrapped Princess AMVs nevertheless ^^b
