The "How I Organize" Thread

Just like the title suggests, post how you keep organized or non-organized. Personally, my organization is absolute chaos. It looks like a pile of garbage papers and looks like a bookshelf full of messyness, and it looks like a desktop from hell, but I know EXACTLY where everything is.

But my bags (travel, laptop, overnight) all are in immpecible condition, and have zero things out of place.

Really, I don't know if I can add to that.

In part I think it's influenced by my mental organization. The fact that I have a very sharp long-term memory makes it irrelevant for me to organize anything externally (like, say, notes - which I never take), so I don't. Sometimes that goes to extremes and confuses even me however. My short-term memory (which is awful) compounds these occasional problems.

And then there is my OCD brother whose organization principle is to throw out or put away everything he doesn't need. His room is a fucken desert, there is literally nothing in it.

i clean every now and again but, im not that organized... i have my pile of bills, and it goes with my checkbook... my DVDs are alphabetical but constantly end up out of order...

for the most part i donno what else...

I find I'm highly organized. I have a couple inches on the bedstand to place my wallet, keys, and other items like that. The rest of the house is for my wives stuff and I dare not do anything with any of it. So yeah, I got a real nice looking organized couple inches there. After all it takes all of 10 seconds or so to clean up my area of the house.

I'm actually working on cleaning my room now, but yeah, typically the only spot you can see the floor is infront of the door. If your lucky. I can usually find stuff though, so eh, I see no real important reason to clean it. If we have EBCribs, maybe I'll post finally. Maybe.

Funny thing is, my DVDs are usually the only thing that stays organized when I put them back on the shelves and not piled up next to my comp. (Well, except for right now. I moved the bookcase with my DVDs, and I just stuck them on shelves to get them out of the way. I haven't had a chance to reorganize them back into alphabetical order.) I clean occasionally, but it doesn't stay that way for long. Of course, many times, I lose interest in the middle of cleaning, so it only gets half cleaned. Maybe I should move into Rafe's apt. That's usually the only place I do any cleaning. lol
