How do you make those nifty AMV banners for your signature?

Is there a guide or something? Or maybe just some helpful tips? ...I've seen them for the longest time... But have no idea how to make them... :(

I make mine in Photoshop. I have photoshop CS, but pretty much any version of photoshop will do. then you link to the video through the picture, and voila! :D

slap some stuff together in photoshop and make sure it follows the forum rules...
host it on photobucket (or my website since i have one of those) and link it in my signature...

heavy use of tinyurl.com in mine though O.o

you can also use mspaint or any other kind of photo/ image editing program
