Vegas 6.0 question
Is it possible to merge multiple clips together?
I had to create a sort of loop using a very short clip for one of my amvs, so it's about two seconds of repeated .3 or so second clips. My problem is that because of this I can't transition to my next clip or else the transition will be so short it won't be noticable, so is there a way I could put the transition over all the clips?
Thanks for the help,

Also, is there a way to create a still clip? Say I just want one picture out of a long clip; is there a way that I can get the picture and extend it without bringing up additional footage? I would assume this has something to do with the loop function but I don't quite understand how the loop function works.
Once again, thanks.

You have 2 options:
1. Export that frame as a still image. Then import the image back into your program which should allow you to set the display duration of the image on your timeline.
2. Export that segment as a short video with as high quality as your program will allow. Use Huffyuv or Lagarith codecs if possible. Then import the video segment you created back into your timeline.

for the still frame, cut the video down to the 1 frame that you want right click and select "create subclip" then you can streatch it out as much as you want
for the "loop/transition" you can do either what willen said or delete all those coppies except for 1 of them and right click that one and "create subclip" then it should loop as you streatch it out as needed, then you can put the transition on there as long as you want

i donno about plug ins, but if you want to use the transition over multiple clips you have to export them as 1 clip then reimport them then you can do the transition over them all...
it also depends on what kind of transition youre using,
if its just a fade to black you can put a black media generator over all of them and fade it in..
if they are one clip over and over again you can create a "looped clip" by the same method as the "create subclip - to make a still frame" thing, just make that one clip a subclip and then streatch it as long as you want and then you can make the transition over it...
