Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

@kickass331:
FLCL is one of my favorite series ever, so if you're going to keep making FLCL AMVs, can you do me a favor and watch these two first?:
<a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 6">Fun.</a>
<a href="http://www.aquilinestudios.org/myevilal ... >Drama.</a>
The editing isn't too complex on either of them, and between them, they should give you a good idea of the kind of things you can do to synch FLCL footage with the music. Also notice how the different musical styles require different editing styles to match, how the mood is kept pretty consistent in each, and how the second one tells a story (kinda sorta).
End shameless self-promotion, but seriously, I had to say SOMEthing.

The fun one I saw like a month ago, before I even knew this site existed, on some other site...Scintilla wrote:@kickass331:

He needs no rest, he needs no sleep, he needs no editing skills, he needs no basic understandment what editing is, he needs not to listen to anything anyone is telling him, he needs no long-term plan to develop intellectual videos right hot off the press - but why, I wonder? Because he kicks ass and has been coming up with interesting and exciting new ways of editing FLCL videos ever since last month.
anyway, not listening to people's advice is just plain ignorant.
if you want to get better and stop all of the bad reviews..get better! and how does that work? you listen to the publics opinion. they are the one's who are viewing, so--don't completely slave over their opinions, but at least take them in consideration.

imo there is a balance between making amvs for fun and "doing things right" to make a good presentation, what he should do is probably find that balance
