I'd prefer a saturday personally. If I manage to go I wont' get there till late Friday night so I won't even make any AWA activities at that rate. So if you do it this way then anybody who arrives late will still make a meeting, that way you have all bases covered. Everyobyd who is going to be there is always there by saturday.

How does a Saturday lunch get together sound? I think there is too much in the way of evening activities to try for another dinner.

Okay, we now have reservations made at KiKu for 8:00 PM Thursday, September 26. I will be calling them up earlier that week to give them a more exact number of the number of people we will have there but we have at least two tables being held for us at this point in time. As the arrangements stand now if we arrive with 20 people or less they will give us two Hibachi tables which will be connected to each other in the main dining room. If we arrive with more than 20 people we will get our own private dining room (the Sakura Room). Obviously it would be better for us (and the other restaurant patrons

) if we get the private room so everyone should make every effort to attend.

The reason for the 8:00 PM reservation is because the restaurant closes down at 10:00 PM (as does the rest of Fayetteville on a weeknight) and I wanted to give us enough time to get there, get seated, watch dinner being made, eat, and socialize. I apologize to everyone who will be arriving too late for dinner but this was the best arrangement I could make. We will need to meet at the AWA hotel lobby at 7:30 PM and leave there by 7:45 PM that night. I expect we will get back around 10:30 PM which, hopefully, won't be too late for those wanting to be up early Friday.

That page will be updated as we get closer to AWA. I will also ask later on that people contact me if they will be coming to dinner Thursday so I can know how many people and cars we'll have.

We're still open to suggestions for late night Thursday events and a gathering during the con itself. If there is an interest I can start to arrange some kind of lunch gathering Saturday afternoon. Just post if that is something you would like to do. I will leave the late night Thursday events to those coming in late (I have to be at work Friday morning myself).

Yea Mabye we should have a gahtering every day of the con. I wouldn't mind planning a trip to see spirited away since it's supposed to come out about september 20th. Just some thoughts.

Say, for those of us who are attending teh saturday meeting but not the thirsday one. Where will we be meeting precisely? this will be my first time at AWA so I don't necessarily know the layout. Oh well, back to trying to scavange money.
