Ok, here is some more information that involves editors for the Room. We will be doing what I've done at many of the other AMV Rooms I run that has proven to be a HUGE success and that is "Creator Spotlights”
What is a Creator Spotlight?
These are 15 minute slots of time (usually in a block of 2 hours of so) that Creators can show some of their words and say a few words about each. Basically, you can show anything so long as it's no more than PG-13 and AMV related.
How do you get a Spotlight?
Right now I would like to see who would be interested in a spotlight. Once I get a rough idea if interest, then we would look at scheduling a bock (or two) of time on different days and send those interested all the slot times available that editors can pick their preferred and backups. Then they would be assigned to editors and all they would need to do is show up 15 minutes prior.
What is needed?
Once a slot would be assigned, we would need the videos you plan to show either uploaded to us before the con, or handed to us on a thumb drive or Data disc at least “X” hours prior to the block (we would let you know when that would be) so we can test and preview your videos to ensure they play and are appropriate.
That's pretty much it, basically it's a chance for creators to introduce themselves and talk in person and show some of their work. This does not get you a free pass or anythign, but a chance to show your stuff I find these are attended quite well so you will get reasonable exposure!
