I think personally that American drawn anime sucks.
Leave it to the Japanese. 8-)

No Such Thing.

Only possibly exception is the work of Rivkah, who, while a fellow Austinite, won a manga award in Japan. Her series, Steady Beat, is about the only American-drawn anime/manga style enterprise I consider worthy. If the Japanese consider her one of them, we can too.

Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Isn't it ironic that, many years ago, the Japanese admired American animation, copied it and developed their own style from it, now we are copying them.
We have always had our own style of animation, I don't think we should try to copy the style of the Japanese, just work on developing what we have.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

if it's american, it isn't anime or manga, its just cartoons and comics. It must be from Japan to be, by definiton, anime or manga.

Hate to say this but your wrong. By all meaning of the definition, any country can produce was is dictionarily correct anime. We went through this a while ago and proved that anime expands to many different genre's and ideas. However Japanamation is soley from japan.

If you want to see it again I will.

Well since anime is just french for animation whatever. Powerpuff girls is a perfect example of an american anime kicking ass and I dare say their is no anime as good as south park. I am personally horrified by american companies such as marvel and Dc trying to imitate japanese artwork. Why copy someone else when what you have is awesome as is. If americans want to do their own manga in a japanese style thats fine but please don't market those books with the japanese ones. I heard some ahole one time say that x men was influenced by manga because its a group of superheroes instead of one. Guess that guy never paid any attention to the american comic book scene at all.
