Neon Genesis Evangelion question regarding Second Impact
When exactly does it occur? Most of what I've seen says September 13, 2000, but at the begining of Death & Rebirth, the date stamp at the lower left-hand corner of the screen says "Aug 15 2000". Also, is a specific time of day (i.e. 1:00 PM) ever given, or is that open to interpretation?

I think the August date is from where you hear the two people having the conversation.
As for the clock that you see when Second Impact occurs, I think that is just the index timer for the camera. The actual operation was likely occuring for about a hour before Adam broke through to the surface and spread his wings.

You mean the shot from the intro that says "A.D. 2000" on it as well?bobbarker31 wrote:I think the August date is from where you hear the two people having the conversation.
