New Anime I'm trying to create

We'll I'm finally under way with some stories that I'll atempt to turn into mangas eventually. The stories are called Ultimate Wizard Battles. This series of stories follow a guideline of Magic the Gathering (if approved by wizards of the coast), and has two main characters named Markus and Matt. Markus, well he is me. This story kinda comes from my experience of the card game. Matt he's a friend of Markus and keeps him company on there journey to defeat the best of the 26 wizards there are. After competitng against each one of them they recieve a scroll if they manage to win there match. This game may seem normal but it isn't. In this game the creatures are actually summon to life in real flesh and blood. The only thing protecting Markus is a shield and his own creatures to block attacks. In these stories characters can get seriously injuried or even killed, but do it for there love of the game. As the story continues on new characters appear. One such character is Tiffany. Well Tiffany is a girl in this story and it makes it more interesting between Markus and Matt. With the story there are State Championships that are put on the line at each battle and can be won by anyone. Regional Championship, National Champions, Hardcore Championship, Two Headed Dragon Championship, and The Undisputed Ultimate Wizard Battle Championship. Not only they have to win the original 26 matches but they also have to gather up enough points to play at special tournaments where the championships are put on the line. I've gotten respondses that it is like Yugi- Oh because of the summoning of creatures but magics been out longer. So in a way Yugi- Oh is like magic. So I'm trying to create the timeline in the past present and future all at once with technology being involved. (tell me what you think of this little preview.)

Well alright, it will probably do well if the animations decent, but only because it sounds a lot like Pokemon, etc. (you do know this don't you? and if you do how do you plan to make it different?)

Poke'mon is where you have to battle for badages in that sense yes, but in the sense of injuries and people dying, no. Each game needs a basis of some type. It's not only about the matches it is about the characters and there hardship through out the whole story that they have to go through. If I post my stories you could see for yourself.

Ya it does sound like pokemon, yugioh, and angelic layer as well, but wasn't Magic the gathering first o_O Granted it was never animated.

Anyways, do you really think you can get permission from wizards of the coast, they already made a few comics here and there, and I don't think they'd want a anime style one esp. with those names >:P

there wasent anything wrong with angelic layer......but it does shorta sound more like yu-gi-oh! and that show already made me loose my interest in it.

Hey I say you have an Idea go with it! if it fails you just chalk it up to experience. Personally I'm not into card games but If the monster were actually horrible and not pokemonish it might be pretty cool.
