A cry to the fallen(spoilers ahead)

Post by GaavTheDemonDragonKing » Mon Sep 13, 2004 7:54 pm

I am creating this topic cuz i know there are more people than just me that had their favorite anime charecter died in anime, but cant get over their loss  This topic is where you come in and post your favorite anime charecters to let them go. Basicly to what i see it as is a gravyard where you let them go. I'm not sure if im allowed to post a topic like this, but what the heck, my love for anime is to great.

These two charecters lived a sad and painfull life, but what they have done for the world was not bad, but was good. For they saw it diffrently from which other people saw it as and for that they were the bad guys. Gaav and Valgavv wernt all that bad if you knew their story, but i guess in the end, every great warrior dies.

RIP guys, RIP

Even though they are dead before the story begin I'm very sad about the deaths of Tsuzuki Asato & Kurosaki Hisoka from Yami no Matsuei.

Also all the dead people in Fruits Basket; all those deaths leave the main characters scarred for life.

Well, I hope I don't come off as a crazed fanboy running around talking about him, but....

for starters, it sucks that Spike died in cowboy bebop, I know im not the only one that feels that way of course.
Haku from naruto, he lead such a shitty life, but im kinda happy that he died rather than live in a life of Snowy Hell. RIP man, RIP.

all the main people that die in wolfs rain, need i say more?

Inu Taisho(Inu Yashas father) he was a really cool character, and hes the only one that could master the Sounga completely, he never got to raise inuyasha, and inuyasha never had a fatherly figure in his life, or anyone to protect him, so he lived his life in exile from other species. if Inu Taisho didnt die, Inu Yasha probably wouldnt be such an ass all the time.

Valgaav was one of my favourite characters, too. And I was very sad when he died. I just thought that it`s not fair and the thing about him been reborn as an egg.
...for me the real Valgaav died.

Hmm... I'd say Wolf's Rain.
Spoiler wrote:Every character died, thus the saddness level at the end was high. And considering everyone was my favorite character...

Witch Hunter Robin also comes to mind, but since the ending could really go either way...and I'd like to believe the positive... it doesn't fit. :D

To Live Is To Die ....okay its a song...

Death comes for all things. It is better to leave behind a life of meaning than to live out a meaningless life.

I forget where this quote comes from but here it is from memory 'When death smiles at a man what can he do but smile back.'

I prefer to flip the finger but same idea. No regret. No problem.

When people die suddenly it is hard on others. But hey its better to burn out living life than to fade away.

So enlight of that here is my favorite anime death.

If you have seen the beginning of the series this is not new to you.

What a way to start a show.

In the Japanese version at the end of each episode he always says 'I didn't die for nothing.'

ASUKA, DON'T DIE.

She did get reborn but she died in a particulaly creul and violent way (also unfair).
The most expedient way to avert crisis is always by the indiscriminate extinction of anything that stands in your way.

Memory serves, wasn't this from 'Gladiator'

Anyways...two deaths I always felt were kind of underrated
Pippin and Corkus in Berserk. While I acknowledge Judeau's was def. sadder, I still couldn't help but pity these two anyways. Pippin died just to give Judeau and Caska a little more time (which would then prove in vain.) As for Corkus...I dunno...personally, I liked the guy...yeah, he was an ass, but it still was kind of sad to see him snap like that and merrily walk into his own demise... ...on a plus side, at least he died happy (...sort of.)
