Which is your favorite anime and why would you choose it over the others?
Out of the following: Dragon Ball Z (DB, or GT), Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Yu Yu Hakusho, Wolfs Rain, Witch Hunter Robin, or Inu Yasha.

My favorite is DBZ. It was the first Anime I ever watched! (And I watched it with my sister the first time). I just fell in love with the characters and the plot. The plot has just enough soap opra in it for the girls and just enough fighting and blood for the boys. It is an anime that both genders can enjoy! Thats why I think it is great!
I think my sis agrees with me.

Yu Yu Hakusho, but not the dubbed version. If you get a chance to, check out the original - the voice actors alone are great, especially during the funny and dramatic moments, very good acting. I saw it a few years back and have been in love ever since. I've never watched it on CN, though, and what I've seen of the dub was a major...how should I put it...turn off. A major turn off.

Of the anime I did see on CN back in the day, I liked Gundam Wing best (which isn't on the list...not sure why not), with DBZ coming in second. I like Wolf's Rain as well, but like YYH - I saw it before it was aired. I doubt I'd enjoy what CN has done with it since I'm addicted to the original voice cast. >.>

Kenshin OVAs count. As long as it has to do with one of the animes up there it counts. Those were just all I could think of at 3:00 AM.

Yeah, OVAs count Movies count, and others related to the topics I listed.

Sorry about not putting Gundam Wing on the list. My brain doesn't function well at 3 AM. lol.
I havn't really seen many anime series undubbed. My only access to Anime is on CN. And a few DVDs my sister gets. but they are all dubbed. I am not too aquanted with the Japanese voices.

Sure enough I agree with her! We may not have much in common, but we like the same anime pretty much.

I wouldn't exactly call it a soap opra though, but I have had bad experiences with soap opras in the past. *Shudders*

Anyway, I think DBZ is a perfectly balanced and all around loveable anime.
And those of you who think other wise... Well, lets just say I hope you don't live near me... No, just kiddin. I can respect other peoples opinions. As a matter of fact I am the guidence counslor among most of my friends. (Immagine what that does to my sanity ) Yup...

Choosing from the list, I've got to go Dragonball Z. One of my favorite anime of all time, second only to Cowboy Bebop.

I like all of the animes that you listed except for WHR, which is boring.
But Dragonball z was one of the first animes that I ever watched, in fact im re-watching the Freiza saga, i dont know why i just am.
