I thought the ending was quite appropriate. The main point behind the whole series, IMO, is the idea that these are just little girls. I think the final episode more than any other helps to drive that fact home.

8)

I thought the ending was quite sad but very well done. It shows that regardless of the situation life should be cherished and appreciated and rejoiced.

I also thought it was so beautiful and touching when Rico got so excited and animated tugging on Triela's jacket when they were all watching the stars.

And the ending with Angelica and her handler was also very touching.

My big thing was that ending song. I think that was one song they could have done without. In my opinion there are MANY songs that could have done much better... oh well. At least it wasn't Staying Alive by Bee Gees

There was a Gunslinger Girl topic here that discussed the ending. Please post there if you want to talk about it further.
