Villain School! (forum game)

Post by sunandshadow » Fri Oct 31, 2003 1:59 am

Hi all! This is a game. We're going to imagine that an anime company hired us all to come up with ideas for their new comic anime _Villain School_! ^_^ (Yes we are. Because I said so. Close your mouth or I will duct tape it that way for you. ^_^ ) Anyway, the concept for the series is that this is the school where villains learn how to be villains. They have classes in everything from torture to villain fashion and dramatic speaking. The faculty are great villains who got bored of villainy, or retired, or are teaching while they recover from their wounds enough to go back to being villains, or are researching how to cure a curse they got hit with that's cramping their villainy style, etc. Of course there are also assorted sidekicks, minions, love slaves, etc. taking their own classes. And the villains, having big egos, naturally end up trying to outdo, practical joke, or just plain fight each other. Lots of cloak and dagger stuff. But of course since they're still students, they're not very good at all this yet...

Okay, your turn! Make up some characters, give them appearances, abilities, weapons, running jokes, friends and enemies.

Example sword licking! (Inspired by the thread about this, natch.)

Instructor lectures about the respected tradition of licking a sword to intimidate an enemy.

Seductive Sidekick - Maintaining eye contact with her leader, licks the sword in a very hentai way.

Her leader snorts in annoyance/disgust. "You're supposed to be _intimidating_ you're opponen, not seducing him.

There's a THUD! to the leader's right, and they both turn to look - the guy next to him was watching the SS and has keeled over with a nosebleed.

Leader grunts. "Well, whatever works for you, I suppose..."

Noob Villain 1 - Licks sword, makes ick face. "Eughhh! Sensei told us to oil our blades to keep them from rusting, but that makes them taste awful!"

Seductive Sidekick hands him something.

Noob Villain 1 - "What's this?"

Seductive Sidekick - "Cherry flavored lube! You can keep it, I have a spare." ^_^ She pats her pocket, indicating the spare.

Noob Villain 1 - regards tube of lube dubiously.

Noob Villain 2 - "Arrrgh!" his scream is muffled by the hand he has clapped over his mouth.

Sensei - smacks the back of his head. "Baka, I said lick the flat of the blade, not the edge! Go to the school nurse!"

Noob Villain 2 - o_O "(muffled) Nonono, not the nurth! Heth thary!"

Character tableau of the (male) nurse, looking kawaii and pink except for that evil gleam in his eye and the shackles on the wall next to the sickbed in the background.

Well, it's not a character, but here's an idea for a class: Common Blunders 101

Lessons would include things such as the following:

1. Do not leave the weak point to your fortress unguarded, no matter how small it might be.

2. Never assume the hero is done for until you've seen his lifeless corpse.

3. Do not under any circumstances explain in detail, your evil schemes to the hero, because "there is no possible way he/she can escape/survive."

4. If the hero you're up against is in the habit of making speeches/transforming before he/she attacks, do not stand there like an idiot waiting for them to finish.

5. If one of your henchmen has the opportunity to kill the hero once and for all, let them do it. Do not insist that the hero be brought to you alive, so you can "see to their fate personally."

Etc. You could have the instructor give examples from their past, or hold demonstrations to illustrate. Just think of all the common mistakes villains make if you need more ideas for lessons.

Well, actually Gaikotsu, I think it would make more sense if those were all listed on the Do list if this were a true villain school. After all, you're not a true bad guy unless you are horribly shortsighted and have a nasty case of hubris.
Kawaita hitomi de dareka na itekure -The Real Folk Blues, Yoko Kanno
I like it! -Indiscipline, King Crimson
If you wanna touch the sky, you must be prepared to die, and I hate cough syrup don't you? -Cough Syrup, Butthole Surfers

True, true. But I was hoping to perhaps train successful villains. Ah well, whatever.

I think we need one character who always looks serene with never a hair out of place, that problems just seem to avoid him (like if a building fell down next to him, not only would he not get hurt, the dust would carefully rain down in a circle around him so his outfit didn't get dirty. Probably he spouts random poetry too.

Hmmm...there'd also need to be obligatory
-Conniving schemer type...always has some semi-spineless yes-man of an aid following them, repeatedly scheming to be top of the class, and often resorting to less than savory means to get it (in short, all around bad guy valedictorian)
and
-The genocidal madman type...loner (well, maybe ONE lackey they treat like crap) who basically looks at people as 'When in the new order will they be obliterated' (*glares at teacher* "Mark my words, you'll be the first to go!")

Yeah yeah, sounds good. Maybe we should have some cats too, cats are pretty evil. ^_~ Random cats that walk around like they own the school and it's a mystery why they're there. Some of the villian students try to play pranks on the cats, while others are paranoid of them...
