In order of greatness. Im trying to see what I have missed. The shows were listd as mecha titles by anime nfo

1) Vandread Stage 1 and 2

2) Neon Genesis Evangelion(all of it)

3) Visions of Escaflowne

4) Rahxephon

5) Big-O

6) Gundam (all of it)

7) Macross (all of it)

8) Gunbuster

9) Genesis Climber Mospedea

10) Orguss 1 and 2

Honorable Mentions:

Ghost In The Shell:SAC (Go Tachikoma's!. They reminded me of BOLO's)

Blue Gender (1st couple of ep sucked but rest was good)

Sakura Wars (just saw this the other night and laughed and loved it)

Patlabor

Current list (warning: I won't be playing it like that list...in all good faith, there's no way I can list all Gundam shows as being equally good since, like any franchise, it has its weak points)

Anyhoo...my current top 10:

1. Mobile Suit Z Gundam
2. Gundam 0080: War In The Pocket
3. Mobile Suit Gundam (0079)
4. Getter Robo: Armageddon
5. Aura Battler Dunbine
6. Martian Successor Nadesico
7. The Big O
8. Gunbuster
9. SDF Macross (from what I've seen of it anyways)
10. Escaflowne

p.s. EVA's mecha status is debatable, considering when they reveal the true origin of the EVAs

I agree and disagree. The EVA's are not quite mecha but they are giant fighting machines "engineered" and they do have a pilot. Question is how much difference is there between biomechanical construct and a mechanical construct. The EVA's seem to be along the lines of a 50' tall artifically produced cyborg lifeform.

Eva and RahXephon,

and if you really want to stretch it love hina becasue of all of Shinobu's fucked up machiens ... oh and Hanaukyo maids ... whats her name ... she makes lots of fucked up mechs ... but the last two aren't really mech animes so yea ....

i really ahven't watched any other mecha animes ... and i agree, evas aren't technicaly mech's.
