Any ways on to my question. Whats your worst DVD lending experience ... even none anime. I'd ahve to say that this could have gone much worse ... sure it took two and a half months to get them back, but at least he didn't use the discs as drink coasters. Theres a few minor scratches and scuffs ... but it's probablly nothing a CD Doctor can't handle ... or whatever that cleaning gizmo is called. So lets hear your horror stories.

I lost one of my Bebop DVDs. I still have the case, but the DVD is just gone. Ive searched everywhere it could be and I cant find. Now, I know I can rebuy it on amazon pretty cheap, but I just know, the second I rebuy it, im gonna find it, and then ill have wasted money I could have used to buy something else. So basicly, im like stuck in this dvdless purgatory.

I borrowed some anime from a friend and had one of her Inuyasha sets stollen from me. As if that wasn't bad enough (considering I didn't have the money to pay her back at the time, and she was very nice about it), after I gave the rest of her dvds back I left school. Then, a few weeks later, I found one of her other dvds stuck in one of my cases. So she's one dvd short on her PoT collection. ~_~ I swear, if I ever get the time to make a trip down there I'll definitely return it (I hope she hasn't moved), but I feel horrible about it. I don't know her phone number or address so I can't send it to her, and I don't even know her last name (she was a friend of a friend - so we weren't *that* close). All I know is she was a great source, introduced me to lots of anime (including the entire Rurouni Kenshin collection - though I didn't watch the Christian arc), and I repayed her by having one of her disc sets stollen, and then accidentally keeping another dvd. Just thinking about that makes me sick. By the time I actually go to return this dvd, I'll probably have to give her a nice bonus on that stollen set, just to get rid of some of the guilt. :?

But I'm almost afraid to go up there. I really don't want to see her if she's been fuming about me for the last few months, thinking I did it on purpose...

heh Just recently I finally got back a whole bunch of DVD's that I lent this friend of mine. She has a bad history of borrowing stuff and breaking it or losing it or simply never returning it. I was starting to get worried about them since some of them are not mine but my brothers. I kept dropping subtle hints about it and I think she finally got the message.

Of course she left one DVD in her computer at home and simply gave me an empty case so it's not all perfect.

Still even with her the worst DVD lending experience I've had is losing the Matrix DVD. Someone has borrowed it and I haven't the slightest idea who. It's been missing for nearly a year now.
