I'll take Kurumi
7.5 - Hilarious, but shallow. It's about a kid and a bunch of sexy, sexy robot girls, set in an alternate early-20th century world. Yes, it's another 'harem' show, but this one actually seems to realize the fact that having a guy with lots of hot girls is an anime cliche and mocks itself at every opportunity.
Watch if: you want to see a light comedy with lots of sexual overtones
Don't watch if: you expect it to be a serious anime with a solid, dramatic plot.
Conclusion: don't take it too seriously and you can have fun with it.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

The only one on there I know is Sorcerer Hunters (they never say bakuretsu - they actually use the english word).
From 1-10, I'd give it a 7.
If you like comedy, you should enjoy this. The idea is that you have a group of people who roam the land killing bad sorcerers (people with magic who use it to lord over the commoners and make them miserable). The main character is a girl-crazy maniac hyped up with far too much energy, and he's joined by two sisters who are gagga over him. But, naturally, since they like him he isn't interested. A large part of the plot is those two being jealous and him chasing anything with a skirt.
The girls, Tira and Chocolate, turn into dominatrix when they fight, so you get to see some very skimpy clothing and some funny violence. The main character just so happens to turn into a large monster (zoanthropy) when he's hit by magic, so it's up to the girls to whip him back into submission.
Also in the gang is Marron, the crazy guy's younger brother (he's a mage, and he's more of the 'sober' one in the group, though he has a bad case of 'brother-worship' - he pretty much follows his brother around wincing at his antics), and Gateau - the muscleman of the group. Those two are rumored to be a yaoi pairing, but nothing comes of it. Mostly it's just another funny side story (and Gateau is quite the lady's man as well as something of an exhibitionist).
The series goes through as the group fights some sorcerers, with their missions coming from 'Big Momma' (yes, that's her name) who was around when the sorcerers first turned bad (some war in the past). The story really picks up when they introduce the main villain, who plans to awaken the 'God of Destruction' who will, of course, destroy the world.
I find this a fun series to watch, definitely big with the comedy. And the final dvd is *very* good. The series gets better as it comes to the end, and I'd definitely say it's worth watching for the climax episodes. And it's a rather short series - I think the US release is 3 or 4 dvds, that's it.
Overall, I'd buy the last dvd - and if you like it, get the rest. If you're just wanting to watch the series, I'd say go for it. But it's one of those 'try before you buy' deals. Either you like it or you don't. ^_^ I like it.

Battle Athletes
BATTLE ATHLETES
I give it about.. an 8 .
well it depends on which one:
Battle Athletes (OAV) or Battle Athletes Victory
Pretty much following the lives of a bunch of girls competing in the biggest sporting event in the world, but the series focuses mostly on Akari Kanzaki, who is trying to walk in her mother's footsteps to win the competition and be crowned the "Cosmos Beauty".
Both are pretty good, i choose Victory over the OAV though.

Also, about SH, if I were to rate the last dvd, I'd give it a 9.6
It's mostly a cute series, but it does get more serious in the second half. The drama between the characters thickens, and though Carrot (the main skirt-chaser) is a silly one, you get to see his nice side, so you really like him by the end. The humor really eases up in the last few episodes with a lot more deep storyline and drama, as well as some action.
Just had to add that, though it is a comedy for the most part, the second half is a lot more. ^_^ I like it mostly for that second half.

battle athletes
I'll take battle athletes.
by the way there is an ova for this called battle athletes, the tv series is called battle athletes victory: this review is based on the tv series.
i give it an 7.5 to 8.5 depending on your tastes.
first off it sells for only 15$ a dvd so you can't go wrong there, but this is not the only basis for my opinion.
I admit it's not the best looking or has the best, most likeable characters in the entire world but neither was macross or evangelion but look how they turned out.
some of the eps(2-3) i admit are hard to sit through and overall only worth watching the last 5 min, but aside from those the plot development is solid( especially in the first half, namely around eps 5-15 i think?) and the dramatic moments are some of the best in anime..period.
Also aside from some of the main characters voices the lines and scipt writing is very good to say the least.
I could go on and on about how this series is good,i'm a big fan of it if you couldn't tell.
Overall i recomend this series to everyone
aside from this i also have a tip on how to watch this series if you decide to buy it.
1. i can not stress enough on how important it is to watch the whole dvd at once, one ep right after the other, if you do not the dramitic points may feel a little lackluster and otherwise cheesy.
