my review of of DBZ movie 8 dub

well for those of you still waiting to get your hands on Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan i managed to get my hands on it early. more like a month early. so muhahahahahhahahaha! ill give you a little peek at the dub version of movie 8.

in the beginning we have some previews before we get to the menu screen. dont know why they just didnt put them in the extras. thats funi for yah. they showed previews for YYH, the final 2 disc of the Baby saga and an add for the bands music for DBZ movie 8.

any ways on to the main review.

Audio(English): i think this movie stands out far the best with band music. it was placed together nicely then movies 4 and 5 where they just crammed it in. in this movie there is some silent scenes!! quite in a few places mind you. some of the songs were good but not all of them. the ones i liked that stood out where Broly meets Goku for the first time. there were some that shouldnt of been in there. youll know when you see the movie.
Audio( Japanese): do i really need to explain? the japanese version always kicks ass as usual.

Voices: the voices really stood out in this movie. Broly's voice was excellent. also done by a new guy forget his name. Paragus was done by adult Gohan(future) and Cell Dameon Clarke. the only voice i found annoying was Shammo's voice. uhhhhhh uber annoying worse then that little girl from the YYH Poltergiest Report movie. ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Script: the script was left almost intact. far by the best script sence the GT dub and past Dbz sagas. i only have a few of complaints. they did change some lines which made it really stupid. especially the part where Parages was talking about Broly making a worse masacre in hell. they cut out hell and put Saiyans eyes. and Broly did not say my favorite line of all time "Monster no I'm the devil" urrrrrrrrrr. the scenes where Goku was yelling give me your power!!! was changed slightly. they cut out "Give me the power to kill him" instead he said Give your power so i can put him down for the count! hey it could of been worse. and they cut out Roshi being drunk and said he ate too much. got hang overs from tuna fish sandwhiches??? rigghhhhhht. what will funi think of next. other than that the script was closely intact. some times when goku was supposed to talk he didnt. youd think funi would have him talk cause kids would get bored of no talking. but i like silent scenes.

extras: well theres the making of the Legacy of Goku II have yet to watch that. other crappy previews as always. the video actualy came with an insert. horray! and Broly trading cards for the card game. the cards are actually sweet looking.

Overall: over all i enjoyed this movie. the voices were really grate. far improvement over movie 7. one of the best dubbed movies since movie 6. this dubbed movie i can actually watch again and again. i give this movie a B+. and score of 8 of 10. 10 would be if they used the original music . sorry but they didnt cuss in this movie unlike the last one. 9 would of been if they cussed. Goku's voice seems to lag off in this movie. notice how in movie 6 Vegeta and Piccolo's voices seemed to lack talent. must be a trend. i thought Goku's voice had changed at first but it is indeed the original. Funi actually did a good job so i recommend both dubbed and subbed. but if your a funi hater just buy the dvd for the japanese version.

noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! that was my favorite line, damn u funi., DAMN YOU!!!!!!...or at least be sumwhat annoyed, like me at this point, okay, moment over.
does broly at least, when vegeta flys at him saying that all saiyans are ruled by him, say 'Then try your best to make me kneel before you', that was another sweeetass line!

good review btw, looking foward to seeing it, maybe i'll see if i can just take the japanese dialogue and add the eng background musik to make a perfect version, muaahahahaaha, nah..

i thought about taking the dub music and replacing it with the japanese soundtrack. and maybe some how get a voice changer and taking the guy's voice of Broly and some how make him that line. i dont know how i would exactly do that though. then we would have a perfect dub.

i watched the making of Legacy of Goku II and it was pretty interesting. some of it was made with adobe photoshop which was really interesting. also on the extras there is a "MV" by Tendril. it really isnt an music video more like a cheap amv do to an opening song. which any amv creator can do. but the song was cool though.
