Just figured, in light of the upcoming US release, might see if anyone else has seen/heard of this series. (Been watching the HKs on loan from a friend)
For those who have yet to hear of it, it's a mecha series from the 80s by Yoshiyuki Tomino (Mobile Suit Gundam, Overman King Gainer). In some ways it seems similar to Escaflowne except this time the normal people are being pulled into the fantasy realm (in this series, called Byston Well) for the fact they have better abilities in piloting large, insectoid mechs known as Aura Battlers.

Sorry for the crappy description (really can't think of a really good way to tell it without either getting long-winded or dropping spoilers)

I still have it on VHS somewhere taped I think from Japanese TV.

Loved it and thought it was kickass.

Its all in Japanese and no subtitles so I had to kinda piece it together and I still liked it.

I would like to get it on DVD with dub or subtitles.
