I do not believe Miyazaki will be making a sequel, of course all his movies leave themselves open for sequels, except for Spirited Away

Yes Mononoke Hime is great but I seriously doubt they will make any more for it.

... I just didn't think it was that great. It was all right, don't get me wrong, but not this spectacular work of genius everyone makes it out to be. The story wasn't that good. The animation was good, yes. The music was pretty un-memorable. I didn't relate to any of the characters at all, and didn't really like any of them with the possible exceptions of the big wolves.

Made my top ten list. I thought that the story was very well played out and the animation was great. Would like to see more of this quality.

8)

Loved it. One of my favs

I loved the Moro and the big wolves..well because I have always liked wolves.

And I really liked and felt close to San. She fights for a cause and is very spirited and full of life, even if she was a bit naive about guns and what they can do.

Most tend to like it because it involves much more conflict and war than most of Miyazaki's work (Kiki, Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, etc), while still retaining the idea of fantasy and imagination, something that his war-based movie Grave of the Fireflies didn't have. This is one of the bigger (if not biggest) reasons why I love Princess Mononoke compared to Miyazaki's other films.

Actually, Grave of the Fireflies was made by Isao Takahata, not Miyazaki.

Sorry I am not real familiar to the artist's other works as well as I should.

When you say Kiki by chance are you referring to KiKi's delievery Service?
