lazy ass Funi
I think Funmation is being lazy. there going ahead and releasing GT when they could be releasing the rest of the Cell Games and Great Saiyaman sagas. in austrailia(spelling?) they have all ready released the Great Saiyaman saga arc and half of the Cell Games dvds i think they were on "Surrender" the last time i checked. Plus Z Warriors prepare! i would really like to get "Awakening" when it comes out on dvd so i can see the original SS2 Gohan transformation. but any ways who agrees that there procrastinating(spelling?) on the remaining two sagas?

Ya know why they're being lazy? Cause those are available on VHS and they know that people who have the VHS already probably aren't gonna buy the DVD. On the other hand GT is just now being released so the number of people who don't already have GT stuff outweighs the people who don't already have Cell Games and Saiyaman saga. So GT = more sales. And let's face it we know Funi only cares about money rather then having a sensible release schedule. That's why they always leave gaps in the series cause they want to sell the episodes you can't watch on TV.

Don't give Madman (the Australian distributer) too much credit... the "Great Saiyaman" DVDs, the upcoming Freeza DVDs (or... *ugh*.. "Frieza"), and quite a few others don't include the original Japanese audio track. I believe it wasn't up until the Buu saga that they started using both language tracks. Why the Freeza discs won't have the Japanese track, I don't think we'll ever know... :/
Poor Australian kids will never know the wonders of Ryûsei Nakao...
*ahem*
Anyway, I'm sure FUNimation's saving the later "Cell Games" discs for later because... those will sell. All the fans are dying to have Gohan's Super Saiya-jin 2 transformation on disc, and they know we want it. Since GT's gonna sell like crap once the kids realize there's no substance, and the rest of the series is already over on TV and mostly out on DVD, they're going to need some DBZ on disc later on that will still sell. Cell. Get it?! Oh man, I crack myself up. Badly.
And yes, they want to sell you episodes you can't watch on TV. That's usually the point of it. If fans want to see it so badly that the only place they can get it is on home video / DVD (like most eight year olds), they'll have their parents buy it for them...

Madman haven't made any announcements about Onegai Teacher or Full Metal Panic, other than they will be the premieres for AV Connection. /end plug

i think those are the Austrailian dvds my friend. i think i found those on the same site. cause if you noticed the covers are not really the same. sure they use the same image but they have different logos and such and they probably have more extras which i doubt. but they do have the japanese versions of those episodes though. plus Funi never puts 2 out of what ever disc there is on the series on the US domestic releases. and the disc are probably in region 2.Declan_Vee wrote:Huh?
