Is it true that there is a Phantom of the Opera anime?

Is it true that there is an anime out there that is the Phantom of the Opera or uses techno versions of songs from the show Phantom of the Opera? If not that, does is there one that has anything to do with the Phantom of the Opera?? Just curiousity....

I believe you're thinking of the AMV of Satoshi Kon's "Memories" t the Phantom of the Opera techno remix (the fact that someone made Phantom and techno work so beautifully gave me the biggest joygasm of my life)

There is actually an animated phantom of the opera from the early 80s I think the french made it. It's closer to the book than the musical.
