Well, damn it. It used to be thirteen. From what I've heard they only changed it due to international pressure, though.

the way i see it, the only difference between misoto (not sure if i spelled that right) and asuka in the series was that they were labled with different ages and asuka was drawn shorter.

Other than that asuka looks like a well developed 18 year old or older, like misoto, only shorter.

nope it's misato, and yrou right they do seem to ahve some similar charictaristics. Though misato did have a 2 week sex romp with kaji to help her forget/cope with her father ...

Plus misato dose a much better job of dealing with her issues, Asuka is pretty much driven insane by her mother, who had killed herself (and tried to drag asuka with her). Misato was pretty beaten up by her fathers neglect, but she apparantly dealt with it.
