2) Bebop isnt my favorite anime but! it is The BEST GOD DAM ANIME TO COME OUT OF JAPAN!!!!

Thanks for your concern, but no need. That was years ago, so all it took was some will power, some support form others, and some holes in the walls. But when watching Bebop, it was as if they were mocking me, "look what we can do but you can't, nyah nyah." Rotten bastards...

Sticking to the subject. I guess I'm the only one who actually likes Julia and not Faye. To me, Faye is a man in a woman's body. She's a step beyond a tomboy and hardly feminine at all. The only non physical woman trait about her is probably that she's self centered and materialistic. Julia to me is a representation of a Godard film. She's the strong element that shows Spike for who he is. Before, Spike is just a laid back guy who acts like Lupin, dresses like Dirty Harry, fights like Bruce Lee, and shoots like Chow Yun-Fat, but that's just his exterior and incapable of giving free expression to his desires in a manner which would allow intensity. Then you mention Julia to him and it all changes. You now see his true hidden feelings, he's no longer hiding his fear. In the movie, Spike revealed that before Julia, he was a man without fear. Once she entered his life, for the first time, he felt afraid, for the first time, he felt alive.

Everything Demented said was true...Julia is much more of a woman than Faye, but for a deeper relationship, I think Faye is the better choice because she would stay commited, unlike Julia, who would probably be seeing Vicious behind his back or something.

It's all about the Halo Effect. Don't let Julia's positive traits mask the way she really is. (Or the way she seems to me, anyways) Spike probably thinks about the way he wishes things could be all the time, never giving up hope that things will work out and get better with him and Julia, and that's why he can't move on, because there's always the slight chance that they'll be together again...

Someone said that there is no love for Jet, I see almost no love for Julia at all!

Faye...is too buried in her own problems to be worried about Spike. And besides, Spike hates Faye!

Ah, but Spike has a lot of love for Julia! I don't think he hates Faye, he just doesn't want to threaten his thing for Julia, so he acts like that. Besides, how can you say that Faye is too buried in her own problems, when she was obviously very upset when Spike left to fight Vicious in the last episode. And we do love Jet, but he's more of the father figure, which is harder for most of us here to relate to...

I never did a deep analysis of Cowboy Bebop, but I do recall that one episode...
I have no comment other than I just don't see much of a relationship with Spike and Faye. Their problems go too deep for any kind of relationship to hold.

The same could be said for Spike and Julia, I just think that Spike would do better with Faye, but he could even do better than that, too.

i think Spike and Faye would work... but only temporarily

imo, after a while, Faye would gamble away all of Spike's money and he would leave her because they never talked anyways because she can't relate to the kind of past that Spike has had like Julia can

also, Faye tends to jabber... i'm sure it would get to Spike... but HEY, it'd make an AWESOME episode, lol

lol, they could have Faye at the end spend Spike's earnings for the month on a ring for herself... then Spike ends the relationship, experiment over
