lol ... not this again ... no he did kind of save the world ... even if most of it was leveled in EoE ... or was it? i don't remember if the damage was world wide or contained to tokyo.

Adam's Shockwave took out a pretty big chunk of Japan. Most of Tokyo-3 was leveled when Unit 00 self-destructed, and then the Geo-Front got nuked all to hell by the JSSDF, so Third Impact didn't change that city's layout much. Anyway... yeah, Shinji "saved" the world in a few episodes.
