On a more serious note, there is a whole class just for the blind and partially blind. Whilst yes, there may be more that is wrong with them, but for the most part that seems to be their main disability.

The school's much like a boarding for the disabled, they don't have to go there (unless highly recommended by the doctor) but since it's a school for the disabled, I'm pretty sure much of the doctors recommend for them to go there if they live around the region, unless they can't afford to, or something.
