American parodies of anime

In the same episode, I think it's when all the con attendees go to the animatronic panel, the one where Homer is doing the motions for the cartoon dog, if you look really close, you can find the Catbus from Totoro.

Sort of...the way the parody played out it was sort of

Cartman - Tetsuo
Kyle - Kaneda
Rosie O'Donnel - Kaori (...death by absorption)

Also, anyone else notice how they even did a bit of a spoof of the mutation music in that ep

I love that episode One of my favorite Simpson eps. Also, the Hello Kitty Factory. Let us not forget Godzilla.

What about Mr. Sparkle? No one mention that yet.

I would say Mr. Sparkle, Seizure robots, Godzilla and even the anime con are part of the japanese culture and not anime parodies.

the South Park episode is paroding anime.

Teen titans for instance does all the stupid humor and the love for a particular type of food (pancakes for them) and beast boy likin only soy. If they took all that out, it actually be a good show. It's like American cartoon then moments of anime-like style reactions and it doesn't fit.

The seizure robots is a rip on that episode of pokemon that gave some kids in Japan seizures. To me that's not a parody of anime but Japan, although for that one I guess it would be more what the writers meant behind it.

Mr. Sparkle, the often weird commericals Japan puts out that don't make sense.

Hello Kitty cause of the myth or association of asians eating cats. Which I believe doesn't apply to Japan at all.
