MY DUB RANT (Sailor Moon mostly, but other dubs a little)

Actually, if you hadn't noticed, those voices in the YTV version of DBZ were the original voices from teh first two seasons of DBZ. Well, some of teh voices anyways. The person who did Pikkon's voice is Brian Drummond, who was the first to voice Vegeta. Now, he is back in the other dub version. Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien, Ox King, Chi Chi, Krillin all have their original dub voices as well in the YTV version.

Some other really bad dubs are Cowboy Bebop (Well, Vicious is great, but Spike & Jett are the worst acting I've ever heard) and 3x3 Eyes.

to be perfectly honest, ppl, I have more issues with the tenchi SUB than the dub! i mean, have you fucking heard ryoko's voice????????? SHE SOUNDS LIKE DILANDAU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, with cowboy bebop, the acting may suck, but the voices fit. if the actors were just competent...

The voices do NOT fit, Spike's VA is soulless and he isn't supposed to sound like that, and I won't even go into how bad Jett's VA screws it up. Spike's VA was good in The Big O, but until he could learn to range he should of stayed the hell away from CB.

Ryoko's Japanese voice is divine!

As for the Tenchi OVA dub, I would vote it as being the best dub ever done, for sure. The only voice I don't like is Noboyuki.

You say that after saying the Tenchi dub is good???

Man, don't ever be a voice director... PLEASE!

The Tenchi Dub is one of the worst I know of...

and the Cowboy Bebop dub is one of the only dubs I like (and this from a person who isn't much into dubs). It is the ONLY dub I know where I actually prefer the dub over the sub (and I never say that about any other title... I know a few dubs I like as much as the Japanese). In fact, many of the industry voice directors I know are equally impressed with how good the Cowboty Bebop dub is.
