Yeah but it’s more psychologically brutal than violent. (then again if he is very strange then he might like it.)

Most of the ones so far are good. Recommend Akira, The Guyver or Silent Mobius, personally. And I haven't seen it, but I guess Kite is pretty violent(?), from what gets said about it around here.

Perfect Blue has violent moments.
If you're going to check out any Eva for violence, it has to End of Evangelion (even then, it's only for the first half of the movie).
Blood: The Last Vampire is quite violent and bloody.
Cowboy Bebop has some very great action scenes, especiall the movie, and the episode with that Pierot la Fou guy (session name and number, please?)
X the movie is really only good for its action and violence.
FLCL episode five has some brilliant action scenes that kind of remind me of a cross between the Matrix and Trigun.

That's about all I can think of.
