Agreed!!!Zarxrax wrote:I think if a non-anime person can be at least tolerant or even supportive of the fact that you are into anime, it can still work out just fine. If you are with someone that is not supportive of the things you enjoy, then it might be good to find someone else
Agreed as well. I've been to conventions and most of the guys, of course myself being excluded, are dirty old men. I just went to a convention a couple months ago and the girl I brought was very scantilly clad in her outfits and costumes she chose to wear and there were guys twice her age hitting on her and wanting pictures of her. Terrible horrible people.ansem'skitty wrote:Word of advice: Men you meet at conventions are pervs.
As for topic, I've only ever dated one girl that liked anime and I didnt see it as a big deal. The girls in the past that havent been interested, its not like we were never able to find anything to do, besides normally unless your watching something neither of you have seen, how many people actually watch the videos they put in???

That's only true for 49% of the men at conventions. The other 49% are men with an extreme case of yellow fever, otherwise known as Wapanese. And the remaining 2% of men are just normal men who just happen to have wandering eyes.ansem'skitty wrote:Word of advice: Men you meet at conventions are pervs. I would know... -.-

Is that really so important?Miyavi-type wrote:A boyfriend that watched anime and videogames is a must!! I don't care if you don't watch anime or video games you'll get kicked to the curb. No if ands or buts about it.
To me, it doesn't really matter if the girl I'm with isn't down with what I'm into. I'm not into Sanrio, Mashimoro, or Spongebob... so why should I expect the one I'm dating should be into fishing, shooting pool, or playing cards? You can't really expect to be doing EVERTHING with your significant other. Yeah, I can understand that you want to share whatever that entertains you with your loved one. But there are other things too. And who knows, maybe perhaps some of the stuff that you enjoy will rub off onto him/her and will eventually enjoy it him/herself.
