Not bad, but not spectacular.

So I'm guessing they are shape chnaging wolves? (i.e. not were wolves but wolves that can take the form of a human. Btw, if this was explained early on in the episode, I missed the first 10 minutes or so.)
Eh, I think they're wolves. They just mask what other people see, an illusion.

And it gets much more twisted (which is good if you plots in your anime). The first episode isn't an accurate representation of the entire anime - I think it's one of my least favorite episodes. ^_^; So if it was 'okay,' the later eps should be great. But then, I'm biased.

Yeah, I'm in agreement with that. If you observe in ep. 1, when Sume (dude in blade leather and white hair) was walking past that bar (with the crazy guy obsessed with hunting down wolves) he left pawprints instead of foot prints. And again when that kid had slipped, when Sume went to help him, he (Sume) grabbed him with his mouth instead of with his hands, only appears that he was reaching out with his hands, part of the illusion (proves it's an illusion becuase if Sume could shapeshift then why would he go all the trouble to turn wolf and grab the kid with his mouth. Thumbs are way more effective).
And last but not least of my observations, when Hige (kid with a collar) and Kiba (white wolf) were escaping as humans, their shadows on the walls were wolves.

Ohh just watched it. Pretty neat. That scene when he chewed that guys throat out in front of the kid was spiffy. Then when the kid fell I was sad.

blah blah blah ...
FYI spelling = Tsume and I believe means claw..... And Yes, Wolf's Rain was a spectacular series IMHO, and the bodies are like physical manifestations .... some type of illusion which has physical charecteristics(spelling is atrocious, sorry all) ... it starts to get odd later in the show.
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
I've seen it happen, man! I've SEEN IT!..

No problem. ^.~ I've seen the anime, but only twice so I still wonder sometimes. I'd agree - they do have physical attributes to their 'human' shadows that contradict the main idea of the 'illusion only'.

After all, Tsume holds and uses a knife in his 'human' visage - and attacks with the knife - putting it to a man's throat at one point in the anime. If he were holding that in his mouth it would be a little redundant, and I don't think he could be nearly so dexterous with it. Plus there's the part where he picks someone (no spoilers) up with his arms - and no bite marks or signs that his physical form is not what it looks like.

I'm *sure* they're supposed to be wolves with human shadows, but there are a few parts in the anime that just don't look that way. Like when Toboe is carrying that 'present' of the fur coat in his arms - not in his hands (which would be his mouth or teeth), but in his arms. He couldn't do that if his physical form were that of a wolf because he can't walk on his hind legs if his front paws are wrapped around something.

Yeah - there are just a few times when the anime doesn't seem to quite 'match' with the idea of them only having shadows of 'human' forms. But they're still supposed to be wolves masked as humans - which some people can see through if they look hard enough.

I just finished watching the show. I think it's just me when I say I thought it was awesome. The music was good too, especially during the scene where the injured Kiba is walking down the street prior to getting attacked by that guy.

Kiba's so damn cool 8) . Btw, Does Tsume have Amon's dubbed voice? :?

If you're refering to Crispan Freeman, then yes.
