I'd say $2040 on dvds, not including the ones that were stollen a year back (just counting what I have now), about $750 on tapes which I don't use for anything (I might get $200 if I pawned them at $5 each, that's it, but I'd probably be lucky to get $50 for the entire mess), about $300 on manga ($150 of which went for Earthian alone - for 5 used books that I can't translate >.< ), and around $200 on wallscrolls. So around $3340.

Not too bad in 4yrs, I can just imagine if I'd known about anime sooner. ^_^; I could buy a cheap car for that much money.

I've sold all my tapes and repalced most with DVDs. The income from the sale did help in buying the dvds but not enough to cover some very extortionate prices.

I'm tempted to set up an ebay account. I figure there are people out there who like vhs, and if I can set the 'buy now' price at $6 I'll be doing better than I'd get at the pawn shop. I don't have entire sets so I'd have to sell them individually. If I ever get a capture card I might keep them, but right now they're collecting dust in a box. Worst waste of money I've done in a while.

id say id spent over a thousand and thats mainly on DBZ dvds. if i bought the box sets i probably would have saved less but they came out after i bought most of the series. this christmas i think i spent over (my mom more then me) over $260 dollars on anime. i know if i had a job id spend my first paycheck all on anime. so yah id diffently spend half of my money on anime but its worth it.

I'd say I've spent almost $50 on anime. I just let my friend buy it all, and he lets me borrow it. I was the one that got him into non-DBZ anime and AMVs though, so that's the reason I don't have a guilty conscience. ^_^ I've rented a lot too, but mostly with my parents' money.

I spent about $100 one day buying manga and a few Gundam DVDs.
In general I will spend about $40-60 a month on anime. I have been saving up for a computer though, so my budget has been tight. Mostly thats magazines, and maybe a manga or two. I rarely buy DVDs. NOt worth paying $50 a DVD, never will be.

??? Where are you shopping? With the exception of those: DVD, a box and a t-shirt deals, oh... and Jubei-chan. I don't think I've ever had to pay that much for a DVD.
