hmmm i wouldn't really call them rivals. Spike only knew vincent for a short time. He was just a run of the mill foe ... well ok he was more then that ... but we don't get the spike vs viscious thing because of how little of the series Vincent takes up he's not really much of a rival. More then the average bounty less then a big rival ... or at least thats how i see it.

Auska and rei ... i'd figure that you'd need an effort from both parts to have a rivalry. Auska tried to have a rivalry ... but it back fired because Rei didn't care, she just wanted to get the job done and go home.

I don't know if I agree with that. Granted that image is of a possibly isolated event, where Asuka was attacking something Rei cared for, but I definetly think there was a rivalry between them. But if there wasn't, there's a rivalry between Rei fans & Asuka fans, which has nothing to do with the topic of this thread, so I accomplished nothing by mentioning it

In that situation I dont think Rei was really mad, like Propyro said, she shot down Asuka's efforts to make it into said rivalry. All she said was basically that Asuka was being ignorant. I dont really call it a rivalry, just Rei pouring her "logic" into the situation.
